Happy 9th Birthday!

As we conclude another 4th of July, I remind myself that during this cultural celebration of freedom is also around the time when I founded Nature of Sound. On July 03, 2013, I received a letter from the California State department that my request to establish a nonprofit organization was granted. I began this process right after high school while I working as a DJ and witnessing the exploitation of the entertainment industry.

Each year we are celebrating the accomplishment that is establishing an inclusive horizontal-style nonprofit organization, that is designed to empower volunteers through our creative community solutions platform. Passionate volunteers from around the world have already supported so many charitable causes and projects that are dear to our hearts through our volunteer program.

When I started this journey over 10 years ago, I had dreamed that our creative potential can be unlocked to provide a greater good to our community. I can proudly say that through comprehensive strategies and coalition building, we have positioned our organization to complete a half a decade-long promise to Solano county that we were going to make a difference in fighting human trafficking.

Since 2016, we have been collaborating with agencies, advocates, and survivors to better understand the needs of our community. In 2019, we were able to create the Solano Anti-Trafficking Coalition in order to establish communication and coordinate strategies across Solano County.

I am very proud of the work that has been accomplished and every single person who supported us along the way. This year and in the years to come, we will continue to face incredibly challenging times and I know we have the ability to face these challenges head-on. I am forever optimistic that we can always work towards a brighter tomorrow. Hassan Sabbagh Founder
